The LHS Quiz Bowl Varsity and JV teams competed at the NAQT State Championships this weekend in Fulton, MS. They had victories over Southaven, Itawamba, and TCPS, and were declared the JV STATE CHAMPIONS. The JV team consisted of Kara Coleman, Bella Dassance, Gray Fisher, Acyn Harrell, Izzy Kuhn, and Christopher Fernandez Interiano. The Varsity team consisted of Cameron Bolen, Cole Garvin, Andrew Phillips, and Aleks Stupal. They had victories over Itawamba and Starkville and placed 4th in the state. Cameron Bolen, Gray Fisher, and Izzy Kuhn picked up individual honors. Izzy finished 6th in JV in most points scored, Cameron finished 2nd overall in most points scored and 1st overall in most tossups answered, and Gray finished 2nd in JV and 5th overall in most points scored, 4th overall in most tossups answered, and 5th overall in most powers answered. Congratulations to the team on a very successful first season here at LHS!
