Flowood, MS - In addition to the district’s recognition, Lafayette High School senior Kate Riddle, the Senior Student Representative of the Mississippi State Board of Education, had the honor of sharing her insights on leadership and education as part of a panel at the MSBA annual conference.
Reflecting on the experience, Riddle stated, "Serving on the panel at the MSBA meeting was an incredible opportunity to represent students across Mississippi and ensure our voices are heard in important conversations about education. As education changes every day, it is important that student voices are heard and valued as we progress as a school and state. I am very grateful that Mississippi values its student input and gives us a platform to share our experiences with the leaders in charge of our education."
The Lafayette County School District is incredibly proud of Kate’s leadership and dedication. Her contributions, alongside the district’s Beacon Award achievement, highlight the excellence, commitment, and impact of Lafayette students and educators at both the state and local levels.
