The Lafayette County School District along with the Lafayette County School Board continue to collaborate in supporting our families and students within Lafayette County. Due to the efficient financial planning and practices within the district, K-6 elementary students will not receive general school supply lists for the 2024-2025 school year. The district will provide the general supplies needed for the students throughout the school year. Personal items such as backpacks, water bottles, lunch boxes, etc. will still be needed.
This financial efficiency will also enable the district to cover the majority of the academic fees for students in grades 7-12, Dual Credit course tuition, and half the cost of the AP exams. This does not include specific club/activity fees, device fees, parking, or membership dues. The purpose of this initiative is to continue to foster positive practices improving family and community partnerships and supporting the goals and objectives of the district. While this initiative is only for the upcoming school year, it is our goal to continue to provide this service for years to come to our Commodore families.
